This t-shirt is in awesome, aged to perfection, vintage condition. This 45-50 year old tee has aged so perfectly, we almost don't have words to describe it, but we will try. The black color of the shirt has faded with age to this absolutely stunning hazy charcoal gray with a gradient fade from the shoulders down - its as if the sun gods blessed this shirt with heavenly rays of light, fading it in an almost mythical way. The fabric has aged beautifully over the years and has become incredibly soft, thin and comfortable - this is an absolute dream to wear, it feels silky smooth. There is a little bit of fraying along the edges of the collar which add vintage charm. The graphics exhibit the perfect amount of aging and wear, adding true vintage character. There are some very small holes in the armpit seams which can be easily repaired, and a few more along one of the shoulder seams, and one just below one shoulder seam on the backside - but we love it just as it is. We spend our lives searching for the perfect vintage t-shirt, and in this one, we believe we have found it. This may well be our absolute favorite t-shirt in the shop and we hope to pass it along to someone who appreciates the incredible natural aging and wear that makes this shirt so special. This is a museum quality piece that you can wear!

THE COMPANY:

Indian Motorcycle, established in 1901, is a legendary American icon with an enduring legacy marked by innovation, unmatched craftsmanship, and a commitment to the open road.

Founded in Springfield, Massachusetts, by George M. Hendee and Oscar Hedstrom, Indian rapidly gained fame for its pioneering spirit, introducing the first American V-twin engine and the first motorcycle to reach 100 mph. These groundbreaking achievements laid the foundation for a brand that became synonymous with power, reliability, and excellence in the early 20th century.

Iconic models like the Indian Scout, Indian Chief, and Indian Roadmaster have defined generations of riders with their classic design elements, valanced fenders, and rich paintwork, serving as a symbol of American motorcycling heritage.

Throughout its storied history, Indian Motorcycle has navigated through challenges and ownership changes, but in recent years, under the guidance of Polaris Industries, it has experienced a revival, breathing new life into beloved models while embracing modern technology and performance.

Today, Indian Motorcycle stands as a testament to the enduring allure of the open road, offering riders an opportunity to connect with the rich history, timeless craftsmanship, and the undying spirit of adventure that defines the American motorcycling experience.

THE CULTURE:

Indian Motorcycle culture is a timeless tapestry woven from the threads of tradition, freedom, and an unwavering passion for two-wheeled adventures.

Rooted in the early 20th century when Indian motorcycles first roared onto the scene, this culture has evolved while preserving its timeless spirit. It reveres the classic design, craftsmanship, and distinctive styling that make Indian bikes iconic, with valanced fenders, rich paintwork, and bold aesthetics serving as badges of honor for riders.

Beyond the aesthetics, Indian Motorcycle culture encapsulates the essence of freedom, embracing the open road as a pathway to self-discovery, camaraderie, and unforgettable journeys. It's a community where riders from all walks of life come together to celebrate their shared love for the brand and the lifestyle it embodies, forging a bond that transcends generations and geography, ensuring that the spirit of Indian Motorcycle culture continues to thrive. This enduring culture is a testament to the brand's enduring legacy and its ability to unite riders in a shared passion for the road.
