THE SHIRT:
This 65-70 year old t-shirt is in awesome, aged to perfection, vintage condition with signs of authentic, natural aging throughout. The fabric has aged beautifully over the years and has become very soft and comfortable. The graphics show some nice aging and wear, adding to the shirts charm. This vintage tee is exhibiting some very cool signs of aging and wear that give it true vintage character. There are faded green colored discolorations throughout the shirt which may have been some sort of paint, but its impossible to say for sure. There are about 4 small holes on the front of the shirt and 5 more on the backside, 3 of which are within the area where the rear graphic is located. This t-shirt was recently soaked in OxiClean so we could be absolutely sure it was as clean as possible prior to listing it, so any discolorations that remain may be stubborn and require careful attention with spot treatmen - we would advise you to leave this shirt as it is, because these marks are part of its history, and that history should be respected. The OxiClean soak removed some yellowing, bringing out the bright white of the fabric. This is a truly awesome, nicely aged and distressed tee. It's age and wear make this an unmistakably authentic vintage piece, exhibiting the story of its existence over the past 6 to 7 decades.
ABOUT GREEVES:
Greeves Motorcycles, an emblematic British marque, originated in the late 1950s from an unexpected synthesis of motorcycle enthusiasm and expertise in castings from Invacar Ltd, a company making mobility vehicles. Founded by Bert Greeves, the brand quickly distinguished itself with its unique designs, especially the pioneering rubber-in-torsion "Leading Link" front suspension. Throughout the 1960s, Greeves motorcycles, known for their off-road prowess, secured numerous trials and motocross victories, cementing their position in the competitive motorcycling world. Although the brand faced challenges and ceased production in the early 1970s, its innovative engineering and racing achievements left an indelible mark on motorcycle history. Today, Greeves evokes nostalgia among enthusiasts and stands as a testament to British motorcycle innovation.
