THE SHIRT:

This t-shirt is in amazing, super clean, aged to perfection, vintage condition with awesome signs of age, wear and distress. The fabric has aged beautifully over the years and has become extremely soft and comfortable. There are a couple small pinholes on the front and lower back and a small hole on the upper back which add character. There are small holes near the sleeve openings as well as some cool distress along the edges of the sleeve openings. The blue sleeves and collar have developed a nice fade and have a very sweet looking hazy blue hue. There is a very faint, hardly visible discoloration on the upper right of the backside which might come out if spot treated. The graphic is perfectly faded and has softened to the point where is is as soft as the fabric it was printed on. This perfectly aged and distressed tee has true 1970s hippie vibes and will connect you to that era with its nostalgic charm.

THE COMPANY:

Peaches Records and Tapes was a renowned retail chain that played a pivotal role in shaping the music industry landscape during the 20th century.

Founded in 1974 in Columbus, Ohio, by music enthusiast and entrepreneur Tom Heiman, Peaches quickly became a beloved destination for music enthusiasts. With its distinct storefront featuring a peach logo, the chain expanded across the United States.

Peaches Records and Tapes was celebrated for its vast selection of vinyl records, cassette tapes, and later, CDs. It was a paradise for music lovers, offering a wide array of genres and a treasure trove of hard-to-find and rare albums. The stores often hosted live performances and events, fostering a sense of community among music aficionados. During its heyday, Peaches was not just a music retailer but also a cultural hub, reflecting the vibrant music scenes of its various locations.

Sadly, like many record store chains, Peaches faced challenges with the shift to digital music and online retail, eventually closing its doors in the early 2000s. Nevertheless, it remains a nostalgic and cherished memory for those who experienced the joy of flipping through racks of vinyl and discovering new music within the walls of a Peaches store.
